This piece is a prayer for us to return to our roots – to what is truly important. It is a prayer for healthy soil, clean waters and air, and for all the creatures that roam these sacred lands, that our children and children’s children may live in a world where the beauty of all of creation can be fully expressed and felt. For unity, peace, harmony, and health for all life.
The bald eagle soars with vision and freedom, the bison face the storm with great strength and courage, otters play with curiosity, horses run with grace and freedom, and elk move with noble strength and endurance. Salmon embody the natural cycle of regeneration. The trees' roots run deep, always reaching for the light, connecting the heavens and the earth.
"God talks to human beings through many vectors: wise people, organized religion, the Great Books of religions, through art, music, and poetry. But nowhere with such detail, and grace and joy, as through creation. When we destroy nature, we diminish our capacity to sense the divine. "
-Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
